House Sitter

About Us :
We are a quiet, busy family seeking a reliable, discreet, and experienced house sitter to look after our home while we are away on vacation. We are looking for a trustworthy individual who can ensure our home and any pets are secure and well-maintained during our absence.

Job Summary :
The house sitter will be responsible for overseeing the residence, performing light household tasks, and providing care for our pets [or "home and garden, " as applicable] to ensure a high level of security and peace of mind for the homeowner. A high level of discretion and integrity is required.

Key Responsibilities :
* Monitor the property, ensure all windows and doors are locked, and manage the alarm system if needed.
* Feed and provide fresh water for our cat twice daily, walk our dog twice daily, and provide companionship.
* Collect mail and any incoming packages to prevent accumulation.
* Water indoor and outdoor plants according to a provided schedule.
* Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean appearance, such as tidying up, and taking out the trash and recycling.
* Be available for contact in case of an emergency and notify us of any issues with the home or pets.
* Answer the phone and doorbell to create a lived-in impression.

Qualifications :
*Proven experience in a house sitting, pet sitting, or similar role.
* Punctual, dependable, and responsible.
* A high level of integrity and discretion is required to respect the family's privacy and personal belongings.
* Excellent communication skills to provide updates as requested.
* Genuine love and experience caring for animals.
* Excellent references from previous long-term employers or clients are required.
* Must be able to pass a background check.
