Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to manage the daily financial transactions for our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing customer accounts, and assisting with collections. This role requires strong mathematical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy.

Job Requirements
Key responsibilities
Accounts payable (AP):

Process vendor invoices, ensuring all purchase orders and approvals are accurate.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
Maintain accurate vendor records.

Accounts receivable (AR):

Generate and send out invoices to customers.
Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and other irregularities.
Contact customers with past-due accounts to follow up on outstanding payments.
Process and apply payments received via cheques, EFTs, and credit cards.
Prepare monthly accounts receivable statements.


Qualifications

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
Proficiency with accounting software, such as [e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage].
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Completion of a post-secondary program in accounting or business is an asset.
